Submitted works must have been composed specifically for the Shakuhachi Chamber Music Composition Competition.

The submitted works must not have previously had a premiere performance or have been commercially recorded. They must not have received an award from another competition for composition.

In completing the application form, the applicant will be required to declare that the music is the applicant's own original work.
